 Medical Team to Haiti Early on Tuesday morning, 19th January, a medical team sent by Word of Life will set out for Haiti, recently devastated by a massive earthquake, and whose people are now suffering the catastrophic consequences of the disaster. Their objective is to assist with minor operations, care for the injured and administer antibiotics and pain-killers. |

 Foto: Olivier Laban Mattei/Scanpix Aid to disaster-struck Haiti A couple of days ago, the Republic of Haiti was rocked by an earthquake measuring more than 7.0 on the Richter scale – the worst to hit the region for 200 years. The destruction has been enormous, and poverty-stricken Haiti is in great distress. It is estimated that almost 100,000 have died, and the search continues for survivors who may be lying trapped amongst the rubble and the remains of houses.
